از همین روست که نقد ادبی زیست‌محیطی از طریق بازخوانی «متون سبز» و بازتولید گفتمان‌های مدافع طبیعت، تلاش می‌کند تا حساسیّت و تفکر انتقادی نسبت به مسائل محیط‌زیستی را به مقوله‌ای همگانی و اولویت‌دار تبدیل کند.
کتاب حاضر تلاش می‌کند اوّلا با زبانی روشن و همه‌فهم به معرّفی مبانی نظری و روش‌شناختی نقد زیست‌محیطی بپردازد و ثانیا با ارائۀ نمونه‌هایی از کاربست مفاهیم تحلیلی این حوزه به گسترش خلّاقیّت‌های پژوهشی و مطالعاتی مخاطبان کمک کند.
