After September 11, 2001, the Bush administration declared America at war. But this war is different from other wars. It seems to be a war whose end is unpredictable due to the type of enemy. It is worth mentioning that America has the right to pursue the perpetrators of this crime and their accomplices, but this pursuit is not necessarily war. There are better ways to contain America's adversaries that could involve less erosion of fundamental rights and international agreements than by continuing to fuel the dangerous and narcotic fantasy of endless war. The article titled "Endless War" is one of the articles in this book.

پس از واقعه 11 سپتامبر سال 2001، دولت بوش آمریکا را در حال جنگ اعلام کرد. ولی این جنگ با جنگ‌های دیگر فرق دارد. به نظر می‌رسد، به خاطر نوع دشمن، جنگی باشد که پایانش قابل پیش‌بینی نیست. نکته قابل ذکر آن است که آمریکا حق دارد مرتکبان این جنایت و همدستان آنان را تعقیب کند ولی این تعقیب کردن لزوما جنگ نیست. راه‌های بهتری برای مهار دشمنان آمریکا وجود دارد که می‌تواند با تخریب کمتر حقوق اساسی و توافق‌های بین‌المللی همراه باشد، نه با ادامه دامن زدن به تصور خطرناک و تخدیرکننده جنگ بی‌پایان. این مقاله، با عنوان «جنگ بی‌پایان» یکی از مقالات کتاب حاضر است.
