مطالعه ي يهوديت به ويژه از دو جهت براي مسلمانان اهميت دارد: يكي اينكه بين يهوديت و اسلام مشتركات تاريخي و عقيدتي زيادي وجود دارد، دوم اينكه در متون مقدس اسلامي به عقايد و آثار اين دين اشاره شده و گاهي درباره ي آنها داوري شده است. نوشتار حاضر، تاريخ و انديشه هاي دين يهود را به اختصار بيان مي كند.
