In a remote Mozambican village, attacks of mysterious lions are frequent, resulting in a number of deaths. The hunter Arcango is thus tasked to eliminate that threat in response to distress calls. The fate of the characters is intertwined between the past and the present. In a delicate poetic language, the novelist proceeds from his life experiences and weaves to us the threads of an exotic world, in which intersection of reality and magic, imagination and legend, intersect in an interesting plot that is not without posing the existential issues affecting man everywhere.
