The Iranians recognized themselves as a social organization and political community based on the Achaemenid rule of the Achaemenids, but their bones also broke under the weight of the defeats of that glorious empire, and from then on, all attempts were made to regain that missed glory. This tendency gradually became so common in Iranian society as part of its unconsciousness.

ایرانیان به مثابه یک تشکل اجتماعی و جامعه سیاسی بر پایه دولت فرهمند هخامنشیان خود را شناختند، اما استخوان های شان نیز زیر بار شکست های آن امپراتوری شکوهمند شکست و از آن پس همه تلاش ها به آن گرایید که آن شوکت و فره از دست رفته را از نو دریابند و این گرایش به تدریج در جامعه ایران خود را چنان درونید که جزیی از ساخت ناخودآگاهی آن گردید
