Once upon a time, two brothers named Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm wished to collect the native legends of their country, which had been passed down from generation to generation for many years. Little by little, they went to the legends of other countries. The three-volume collection of Brothers Grimm is the result of their persistence in collecting these legends. Many of these stories begin with the familiar phrase "once upon a time", but have an unexpected and fascinating ending.
