The eternal child is the narrative of fear and hopes in the last year of a girl who is struggling with rare cancer: the daughter of the author of a novel, a novel that is the author's last attempt to keep her child alive... Forrest grabs not only the word but the entire history of literature to find a way to immortalize his daughter. The author admits in the last sentences of the book: "I made a paper creature out of my daughter, I turned my desk into an ink stage every night where imaginary adventures were performed. The endpoint is set. I have put the book next to other books. There is no salvation in words. So I dream." In this way, the novel is so mixed with imagination that it escapes the label of biography and turns into a readable scene.
