Zindigī-yi khānigī va farhang-i masrafī dar irān: Persiska (Farsi) 1400

Studies looking at modernity's encounter with culture and life in Iran have focused on the experiences resulting from this encounter in the political realm and the public sphere. These experiences have been the subject of criticism many times both from the perspective of government power and from the perspective of social and popular actions. Compared to those studies, the contribution of studies that have dealt with the private sphere, specifically family life and consumer culture in Iran, is insignificant. The present book, by studying the changes in the customs and rules, and laws governing the domestic space in Iran in the context of the above-mentioned confrontation, is among the few efforts that have been made in recent years to address the shortcomings in this field. The research published in this book is proof of the importance of the issues in this field to a wide range of social and political activists, religious scholars, architectural experts, and business and commercial activists.
