The Accident Seeker; A narrative of the risky life of Amin Agha Farzaneh "The Accident Seeker" is the result of a conversation between Mazdak Alinazari, a writer and journalist, and Amin Agha Farzaneh, one of Tehran's most famous old-time gangsters. This book, in the form of a tight and breathtaking interview that began on November 3, 2015, tells the story of Amin Farzaneh's life full of ups and downs; from his childhood in Hasirabad, Tehran to the 13 Aban neighborhood, from conflicts and years in prison, to his efforts to walk a path towards peace and reconciliation. In this book, Amin Agha Farzaneh openly talks about his memories and experiences and talks about his position and role among the people of southern Tehran. Also, while reading the book, you can touch the tone and character of Amin Farzaneh, because the author has tried to implement this interview with minimal interference. In this interview, Mazdak Alinazari delicately dissects the different layers of Amin Farzaneh’s life and presents a realistic and tangible picture of him to the reader. Through his questions, he seeks to understand the culture of the Latin and Latin-based people and their place in today’s Iranian society. Asghar Izadi Jiran, a sociologist and associate professor at the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Tabriz, points out in the preface to this book the importance of “incident-seeking” in understanding Latin culture and the lessons that can be learned from it. He writes: “Latin and Latin-based people are examples of the ethics of bravery and chivalry that Amin Agha and his colleagues have tried to revive. Not fighting and being brave, but serving the people, not hurting, but asking for forgiveness. These are the moral lessons of a declining creed and religion for us young people in Iran today.”
