All the poems of Ulu Arif Chalabi (grandson of Maulana) are in Farsi and are written only in the form of sonnets and quatrains. This is the style of Maulana. He did not praise the statesmen and officials. In the poems of Olu Aref Chalabi, the characteristics that can be found in the poems of other Sufi poets can be seen. Among the most important themes of love and connection with God, non-dependence on the world, and freedom from all the characteristics of the world, such as pride, love, and status, can be counted. He is dependent on Rumi in every matter and wants to present the same point of view, which shows that he intended to give an example to Rumi in most of his poems.

همه اشعار اولو عارف چلبی (نوۀ مولانا )به فارسی است و تنها در قالب غزل و رباعی سروده است این شیوهٔ مولاناست دولتمردان و صاحب منصبان را مدح نکرده است در قالب قصیده شعری نسروده است. در اشعار اولو عارف چلبی ویژگیهایی که در شعرهای دیگر شاعران متصوف یافت می شود به چشم می خورد در میان مهمترین موضوعات عشق وصال خداوند عدم وابستگی به دنیا عاری شدن از همۀ ویژگیهای دنیا نظیر کبر، حب جاه و مقام را می توان برشمرد. او در هر موضوع وابسته به مولاناست و می خواهد همان دیدگاه را عرضه کند نشان می دهد که در اکثر اشعارش نظیره گویی به مولانا را قصد داشته است.
