کتاب «تاریخ امیران منغیتیه بخارا» یکی از آثار اولیه استاد صاحب‌نام تاجیک، صدرالدین عینی (درگذشته به سال 1333 شمسی) است که در کنار ارائه گزارشی از دگرگونی‌های سیاسی - اجتماعی دوره حکومت منغیتیان و روابط آنان با روسیه و دیگر خان‌نشین‌های ماوراءالنهر، به‌طرز زندگانی مردم آن روزگار و چگونگی رفتار ظالمانه حاکمان با آن‌ها نیز توجه کرده است. اگرچه جدای از تجارب شخصی صدرالدین عینی که فقط به دوره کوتاهی از آخرین روز‌های حکمرانی امیران منغیتیه محدود می‌شد، مآخذی که برای تدوین تاریخچه تحولات پیشین امارت بخارا در دست داشت کم و اندک بودند و به‌علاوه این نوشته جنبه‌ای تبلیغی و تهییجی نیز داشت، ولی با این حال روایت عینی از این دوره، روایت دور از واقعیت نیست.
