My feeling towards the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents and the years I worked there (May 1350, September 1359) is like the feeling that each of us has for the first publication of Aftab Nagareh. In another place, I have said that the New Look Quarterly is the last love of my life. Kanon was also the first love of my life. First love is unforgettable. It's been forty years since I left Kanon - Shahrivar 1359, but the scent of Kanon still caresses my nose. Kanon was not my place of work, it was my home. It was my first home. The center had enrolled nearly two million Iranian children and teenagers in its libraries with the aim of the intellectual development of children and teenagers. The smallest service of the center was that every year more than one hundred million copies of books were given to these two million children and teenagers. The art teachers taught painting, music, theater, and filmmaking to the members of the libraries. All the production units of the Cinema Publishing Center produced screen and tape and other units were also in the service of these two million members. The librarians told stories to the members. They read poetry. They introduced the characters, introduced them to other lands, and taught them journalism. They were taken to summer visits and the patient stones were relatively adult boys and girls from poor families. They didn't know anyone except the librarian of the center to whom they could share their sorrows and raise their questions.
