One night in winter a poor woman wanted to gave a red rose to the prince to have a place to sleep. در شبي زمستاني زني فقير از شاهزاده اي خواست تا گل سرخي بگيرد و سرپناهي به او بدهد. شاهزاده خواست او را بيرون كند. اما زن، شاهزاده را جادو و به هيولايي زشت تبديل مي كند و مي گويد اگر پيش از افتادن آخرين گلبرگ گل سرخ مهربان شود، دوباره به انسان تبديل مي شود، در غير اينصورت براي هميشه زشت باقي خواهد ماند. جادوگر همه ي آدم هاي قصر را به لوازم منزل تبديل مي كند. از طرفي در دهكده اي در نزديكي قصر، بل با پدرش موريس مخترع زندگي مي كند. موريس در جنگل گم مي شود و به قصري مي رسد و هيولا او را زنداني مي كند...
