The story is narrating by the two main personalities, "Mahasti" and "Riza". Riza's father is Mahasti's father supervisor. This relation became as a special emotion. Before revolution, Riza went to guerrilla groups and start his revolution activities. Mahasti married with a political man and unwanted involved with political problems. After years they found each other and Riza is the private teacher of Mahasti's children. In this story they completely tell their political activities, life and love adventures.

داستان اين كتاب از زبان دو راوي، "مهستي" و "رضا" - شخصيت هاي اصلي داستان - نقل مي شود. آشنايي اين دو از آنجاست كه پدر رضا مباشر پدر مهستي است. اين آشنايي منجر به علاقه اي خاص مي شود. با اين همه، رضا در دوره پيش از انقلاب، وارد گروه هاي چريكي شده، دست به فعاليت هاي انقلابي مي زند. مهستي نيز كه به همسري يكي از دولت مردان درآمده، ناخواسته درگير مسائل سياسي مي شود. پس از سال ها دوري، رضا و مهستي يكديگر را يافته، اين بار رضا معلم خصوصي فرزندان مهستي مي شود. در اين داستان هر يك از اين دو شخصيت، فعاليت سياسي، زندگي و ماجراهاي عاشقانه خود را به تفضيل بازگو مي كند.
