Pascul Duarte ve Ailesi: Turkiska 2017

When his first novel, Pascual Duarte and his family, published in 1942, the great Spanish writer Camilo José Cela released his name to the world, he created great controversy both in style and in fiction and was banned for four years. When it started to be republished, the storm of excitement that you created was much more violent now. After the Spanish Civil War, novels that deal with living trauma were published in succession. But Cela discovered something completely different: he had turned his face not to the events, but to the country, not the complex city. He described the conflict between the individual and the society, violence, love, poverty and crime, which is "grotesque realism". But the original authenticity was the main character of the novel: Pascual Duarte opened a new door with the roots of the crimes he committed and his attitude towards these crimes. As a matter of fact, it was not long before the beginning of a new literary understanding with the publication of Foreign in France that same year. Pascual Duarte and his family influenced many important writers from Juan Rulfo to Marquez, Bret Easton Ellis to Roberto Bolaño, the preface written by the author for the Turkish edition and the translation of Flame Gustus in Spanish.
