Hisham Jait, a historian of contemporary Muslim thought, based on sociology, philosophy, and historical geography and influenced by the likes of Hegel, Merleau-Ponty, and Iqbal Lahori, has organized the modernization of thought and in the historical and comparative study of religions and religious narratives, the historicity of religion in "worldly time" prove.
