This book has three parallel stories. Characters in the three stories are the same: Puriya is the man and Anahita (in one of the stories is Nahid) is the woman of the story. The first story has more realistic factors and is about the young Puriya whose mother was dead for a while and his father is a successful writer and publisher after his wife's death became depressed. Puriya is alone and he even couldn't get a contact with his fiancée. Everyday with an obsession he went to the mysterious cemetery where his mother is lie and his only friend is the old man who works there. He doesn't know his obsess; but gradually he feels a dark spot in his past and is trying to solve his mother's riddle...

كتاب حاضر شامل سه داستان موازي است. شخصيت ها در هر سه داستان در حقيقت يكي هستند: پوريا مرد داستان و آناهيتا (در يكي از داستان ها ناهيد)، زن داستان. داستان اول كه عناصر واقع گرايانه در آن بيشتر ديده مي شود ماجراي پورياي جوان است كه چندي است مادرش را از دست داده و پدرش كه نويسنده و ناشر موفقي است بعد از مرگ همسرش تعادل روحي خويش را از دست داده است. پوريا تنهاست و حتي نمي تواند با نامزدش ناهيد ارتباط بر قرار كند. او به شكلي وسواس گونه هر روز به گورستان اسرار آميزي كه مادرش در آن آرميده مي رود و تنها همدمش پيرمرد خادم قبرستان است. خودش دليل اين وسواس را نمي داند؛ اما به مرور مشخص مي شود كه او در سرگذشتش نكته مبهمي را حس مي كند و در تلاش كشف معماي مادرش است...
