"Adiaforos" and other texts of his youth From 1893 to 1896 the young Proust sharpened his knives as a writer for the magazine La Revue blanche. Fragmentarily, he pre-plans a personal, yet future, universe. The homosexual confession in "Before Night Falls" exposes the tensions of lust-pain, the short "Remembrance" focuses entirely on the power of sensation, while "Against Ambiguity", his last text for La Revue blanche, affirms his interest in adopting a militant stance, but also his will to develop a problematization around the truth of literature. These texts, which will not be included in the collection "Tolerances and Days", his first book published in 1896, approach themes that will run through the entire work of "In Search of Lost Time".
