One of the important and impressive dimensions and features of Hafez's poetry, regardless of the aesthetic, rhetorical, stylistic, and mystical dimensions and content of his poetry, is the social dimension of his poems. The resonance of social life and its elements in Hafez's poems is as if the social history of Iran, especially the social history of the 8th century AH, breathes in his poetry. In this book, Hafez's poetry and personality have been analyzed in detail in eight sections in the light of social and historical discourses and by using various sources.

یکی از ابعاد و ویژگی‌های مهم و چشمگیر شعر حافظ، صرف‌نظر از ابعاد زیبایی‌شناسانه، بلاغی، سبکی، عرفانی و محتوای شعر وی،بعد اجتماعی اشعار اوست. طنین تپش‌های حیات اجتماعی و عناصر آن در سروده‌های حافظ به‌گونه‌ای است که انگار تاریخ اجتماعی ایران، به‌ویژه تاریخ اجتماعی سدۀ هشتم هجری در شعر وی نفس می‌کشد. در کتاب حاضر، در طی هشت بخش به تفصیل شعر و شخصیت حافظ در پرتو گفتمان‌های اجتماعی و تاریخی و با بهره‌یابی از منابع مختلف و متقن تحلیل و بررسی شده است.
