This book contains the celebrated tarkīb-band by Mohtasham Kashani, composed in elegy for the martyrdom of Imam Husayn. It is one of the most enduring and influential works of Persian devotional poetry, having played a central role in Ashura mourning rituals for centuries.

The present volume has been produced with an artistic and refined approach, presenting the poetic text alongside distinguished examples of Iranian calligraphy: Shekasteh script by Darvish Abdolmajid Taleqani and Nastaʿlīq script by Gholam-Hossein Amirkhani, accompanied by delicate illumination (tazhib) by Mohammad-Baqer Aghamiri.

This book not only reflects the emotional and spiritual depth of tenth-century AH Ashura poetry, but also stands as a distinguished example of the integration of poetry, calligraphy, and the traditional art of Persian book design.
