Aristotle, the renowned philosopher of ancient times, was not only the leader of his contemporaries in biology, cosmology, natural science, and many other scientific fields, and was considered the first to formulate formal logic. He also dealt with the classification of poetry, drama, and literary genres with a precise scientific perspective. The ideas that Aristotle proposed and formulated in poetry provided the general foundation of Western critical theory, and therefore Aristotle can rightly be considered a normative philosopher in the field of literary criticism. Aristotle closely observed the plays, tragedies, comedies, and epics of his lifetime, and in fact, Poetry is the summary of his empirical and scientific observations in literary genres and genres.
