The book of calligraphers' tazkira contains the corrected text of two tazkira about the status of calligraphers. The first tazkira is by Hidayatullah Sepehr Kashani, and the author mentioned in it the calligraphers of Kufi, Naskh, Thulth, Sansaf, Nastaliq, and Broken calligraphy from the beginning of Islam to 1320 A.H., the year the tazkira was compiled. The second tazkira is a narration and a summary of the tazkira of Al-Khatatin Mirzai Sanglakh, which was prepared by Rahim Ehtsham Diwan in 1340 AH. In both tazkira, the focus is on introducing the calligraphers of the Qajar era.

کتاب تذکره‌ی خوشنویسان دربردارنده‌ی متن مصحح دو تذکره در احوال خوشنویسان است. تذکره‌ی نخست از هدایت‌الله سپهر کاشانی است و نویسنده در آن از خوشنویسان خطّ کوفی و نسخ و ثلث و تعلیق و نستعلیق و شکسته از صدر اسلام تا سال 1320ق.، سال تالیف تذکره، یاد کرده است. تذکره‌ی دوم روایت و تلخیصی از تذکره‌ی الخطاطین میرزای سنگلاخ است که رحیم احتشام دیوان آن را در سال 1340ق فراهم آورده است. در هر دو تذکره تمرکز بر معرفی خوشنویسان عصر قاجاری است.
