Salah Hassan is an Iraqi poet born in the city of Babylon and one of the most influential contemporary Arab poets. He studied dramatic literature at the Faculty of Fine Arts... He is a poet, playwright and translator. His works have been translated into several languages, including Spanish, Dutch, English, and Russian. He was once sentenced to death by Saddam and spent several years in prison until he was able to escape from Iraq to Jordan and from there to Europe. This poet has been living in The Hague, Netherlands for many years.

صلاح حسن شاعر عراقی متولد شهر بابل و یکی از تاثیرگذاران شعر معاصر عرب او در دانشکده هنرهای زیبا، ادبیات نمایشی خوانده...شاعر، نمایشنامه نویس و مترجم است، آثار او به زبان های متعددی از جمله اسپانیایی، هلندی و انگلیسی، روسی ترجمه شده است...او یکبار توسط صدام به اعدام محکوم و چند سالی را در زندان بود تا اینکه بالاخره توانست از عراق به اردن بگریزد و از آنجا به اروپا برود. این شاعر سالهاست که در شهر لاهه هلند زندگی میکند.
