The time has come to take a fresher and more detailed look at his poetry and life, at the brilliant expressions of his poems and his lived experience. Maybe for a better understanding of Sohrab, no longer follow the song of truth, which, like him and his companion, should be run to the bottom.

برای شناخت درست پویایی اندیشه ی سهراب سپهری باید از آن دریافت تکراری و تقلیدی فراتر رفت که بودیسم یا نوعی از عرفان را همچون قالب و ابزاری برای توضیح سراسر اندیشه ورزی ها و سروده های او به کار می گیرد. نوشته های پرشماری که، با آن نگاه کلیشه ای، از هنگام ظهور سهراب در پهنه ی شعر و ادب درباره ی او منتشر شده اند اکنون همچون شاخ و برگ درختی تناور چنان بر خوانش اشعار او سایه افکنده اند که دیدن گسست ها و جهش های سرنوشت ساز تفکر سهراب بسیار دشوار شده است.هنگام آن فرا رسیده است که نگاه تازه تر و دقیق تری به شعر و زندگی او، به عبارت های درخشان سروده ها و تجربه ی زیسته اش بیفکنیم. شاید برای فهم بهتر سهراب، دیگر نه پی آواز حقیقت، که همچون خود او و همراهش باید دوید تا ته بودن.
