در تکتک عکسهای خانوادگی که آوازه نشانش داده بود، همیشه رد پایی از این مرد بود. گاهی وسط عکسِ روز عید دیده بودش با کراواتی کودکانه و خندهای گشاد و گاهی تکیهداده به دیوارِ پر از پیچکِ عمارت قدیمی سپهوند. باور واقعیتی که اتفاق افتاده و او از آن بی خبر بود، رنجش میداد. واقعیت همان گل سرخی بود که این غریبه کنار سفرهی عقدشان جا گذاشته بود. واقعیت دلی بود که از آوازه رفته و امید ناچیز آن دختر بود برای رسیدن به جوانی که با خودخواهی او را تا مرز لگد زدن به آینده و فردا پیش برده بود.
