Muhammad Yusuf Heravi, nicknamed Arith (1290-1330 AH), like his father and ancestors, was a countryman and military man of the Abdali family who wrote the same events with the intention of telling the history of Afghanistan and its wars from 1207 to 1324 AH, and in it, he mostly focused on the situation in Herat and Hazara. Jat has noticed. The author, who spent the last two decades of his life in Mashhad has discussed some events in Iran and other countries in his book.

محمد یوسف هروی متخلص به ریاضی (۱۲۹۰-۱۳۳۰ق) که همچون پدر و نیاکانش از مردان کشوری و لشکری خاندان ابدالی بوده عین الوقایع را به قصد بیان تاریخ افغانستان و جنگهای آن سامان از ۱۲۰۷ تا ۱۳۲۴ق نوشته و در آن بیشتر به اوضاع هرات و هزاره جات توجه داشته است. نویسنده که دو دهه پایانی عمر را در مشهد گذرانده در کتاب خود به برخی وقایع ایران و دیگر کشورهای جهان هم پرداخته است.
