The king wakes up from his sleep, enraged by the sounds of singing and music. He orders the arrest and disappearance of the musical notes. A heavy silence descends over the city, and gloom and sadness pervade. Only the king returns to his peaceful sleep. The children, eager to sing and play music, are not content and decide to embark on their adventure. Rami Tawil is a Syrian novelist, short story writer, and translator. He has published novels: "The Last Shadow Dance," "Incomplete Lives," and "Beethoven's Hat" (Dar Al Saqi). His short stories include: "Before the Coffee Gets Cold" and "Woman at the Window." He also wrote children's books: "I Am Not Alone" (longlisted for the Sheikh Zayed Award for Children's Literature 2023). Tina Makhlouf is a Lebanese illustrator and graduate of the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA). She has produced numerous projects for regional and international publishing houses. Her work varies between drawing and design.
