Rāz-i Parvāz: Sharḥ-i Manṭiq Al-ṭayr Aṭṭar: Persiska (Farsi) 1403

Mustafa Badkoobeh Hazaweeh is an Iranian writer, poet, and researcher. He has published numerous works in the field of Persian culture and literature. The book Raz Parvaz (Sharh Mantiq al-Tayr Attar) is the latest work of Professor Badkoobeh, which, as its name suggests, examines the eternal book Mantiq al-Tayr by Farid al-Din Attar Neyshaburi. In this book, as mentioned in its introduction, the author has tried to take a lively, modern, and different look at Mantiq al-Tayr, far from the method of academic and university research. A look that does not add to our "knowledge" but rather reduces our ego; a look that may familiarize us with the pains of the great Farid al-Din; the pains of the one whose speech the mystics have called the whip of conduct. Rozena Publishing has previously published the book "The Great Secrets of Hafez" by this author. In the introduction to this book, we read: Attar has turned the seven cities of love into perfume. We are still in the bend of an alley. We can boldly say that after the book “Mantiq al-Tayr” by Professor Dr. Shafi’i Kadkani, there is no need to delve further into Sheikh Attar’s book with an academic method. Therefore, “The Secret of Flight” only deals with the emotional-artistic and mystical dimensions of that great work, so that perhaps it will warm the heart, make tears of longing flow, and find the footsteps of the old man of Neyshabur in the alleys of “The Seven Cities of Love.” In this innovative book, the author finds Sheikh Attar in the work of teaching “The Secret of Flight” (the Persian equivalent of “Mantiq al-Tayr”), and does not look at his knowledge or his Khorasani vocabulary; he only seeks “the fragrance of Attar’s speech” and that’s it.
