با توجه به دهها کتاب و صدها مقاله و مطلب درباره رضاشاه این پرسش پیش می آید که چرا هیچ مطلب قابل استنادی از دورانِ کودکی رضاشاه و به ویژه مادر او نداریم. گویا هیچ پژوهشگری از خودش نپرسیده، یا نخواسته است بپرسد که چنین مردی که تاریخ ایران را به شیوه ی بی بازگشتی دگرگون کرد، در چه خانواده ای زیسته است و شرایط زیستی او چه بوده است و چه کسان و عواملی در شکل گیری شخصیت او تاثیر داشته اند. آیا دست هایی در کار بوده که به شکلی غلوآمیز نشان دهند که رضای کوچک در فقر و فلاکت و بدبختی زیسته و مکتب نرفته و بیسواد و لات و ولگرد بارآمده بوده است؟ یا آیا به دلایلی قرار بوده است که در مورد نوش آفرین مادر رضاشاه و خانواده مادری او چیز روشنی گفته یا نوشته نشود؟ در این کتاب که روایتی نیمه تاریخی از زندگی کودکی این مرد بزرگ است اگرچه نویسنده به این پرسش ها پاسخی قطعی نمی دهد اما دریچه هایی را رو به واقعیت هایی می گشاید که شاید راهگشا باشد According to dozens of books and hundreds of articles and articles about Reza Shah, the question arises as to why there is no referenceable material from the era of We do not have Reza Shah's childhood and especially his mother.
