The works included in the poetry collection "The Book of Love and Fury" were written in the years 2019-2022 - during the epidemic of COVID-19, and then a full-scale invasion.
These are poems about what keeps us afloat when, according to all the laws of physics and physiology, we should have already drowned. It's about the ability to rake when the current pulls you into the open sea, hostile and full of predators. It's about the ability to hold your breath when a high wave covers you. It is about the power that allows you to see a lighthouse on the horizon and head for the shore. It's about the courage to dive deep and find a seashell at the bottom - in memory of this journey, no matter how scary and gloomy it was. And this book about the art of singing and laughing - even in dark, icy water.
In the design of the book, the artist Ksenia Zabrodska embarked on an unexpected experiment. The illustrations were created with the help of Midjourney artificial intelligence, because the depth and multi-level of Maryna Ponomarenko's works can touch not only living hearts, but also artificial minds.

Твори, що увійшли до поетичної збірки «Книжка любові і люті», були написані у 2019–2022 роках — під час епідемії COVID-19, а потім повномасштабного вторгнення.
Це вірші про те, що тримає нас на поверхні, коли за всіма законами фізики та фізіології ми мали би вже потонути. Це про здатність вигрібати, коли течія тягне у відкрите море, вороже й повне хижаків. Це про уміння затримувати подих, коли накриває високою хвилею. Це про силу, що дозволяє побачити на горизонті маяк і попрямувати до берега. Це про сміливість пірнути углиб і знайти на дні мушлю — на пам’ять про цю подорож, якою би страшною і похмурою вона не була. І ще ця книжка про мистецтво співати і сміятися — навіть у темній крижаній воді.
В оформленні книжки художниця Ксенія Забродська пішла на несподіваний експеримент. Ілюстрації створені за допомогою штучного інтелекту Midjourney, адже глибина й багаторівневість творів Марини Пономаренко здатна торкнутися не лише живих сердець, а й штучного розуму.
