A graduate of the Lviv police school, Denys Chornoy, is sent to work as a junior investigator in a small town in the Kyiv region with the mysterious name of Kholodne Pole. And since the events take place at the end of the 90s of the last century, Black has to deal with both criminal structures and a strange religious sect. And soon, insanely brutal murders with the same "handwriting" begin to be committed in the city: the bloody maniac spares neither teenagers, nor women, nor animals. The fiancee of the investigator also dies from the claws and teeth of the mysterious killer. The inhabitants of the city are frightened. Cold Field begins to talk about the Beast, because a person cannot be capable of such cruelty.

Випускника Львівської школи міліції Дениса Чорного направляють працювати молодшим слідчим у невелике містечко на Київщині з таємничою назвою Холодне Поле. А що події відбуваються наприкінці 90-х років минулого століття, то Чорному доводиться мати справу і з кримінальними структурами, і з дивною релігійною сектою. А незабаром у місті починають коїтися несамовито жорстокі вбивства з однаковим «почерком»: кривавий маніяк не жаліє ані підлітків, ані жінок, ані тварин. Від пазурів і зубів таємничого вбивці гине також наречена слідчого. Мешканці міста залякані. Холодне Поле починає говорити про Звіра, адже людина не може бути здатна на таку жорстокість.
Чи упіймає Денис маніяка і чи вдасться йому вціліти самому?..
