The history of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was written by the late Hojjat-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Aiti (d. 1342 AH) on the subject of the life of the Messenger of God. Since the book was published after the death of the author, Dr. Abulqasem Gurji (one of the author's friends and a graduate of Najaf district and a professor at Tehran Law School) edited and completed it because the author did not include some of the events of the Prophet's last life and the name of the book "History of Islam" is the past to compile a period of Islamic history. The corrector of the book has presented the book by changing and adding new content, translation of Arabic poems and texts, explanation in the footnotes, etc.

تاریخ پیامبر اسلام(ص) بوسيله مرحوم حجت‌الاسلام دكتر محمد ابراهیم آيتی (د. 1342ش) در موضوع زندگانى رسول خدا نوشته شده است. از آنجا كه كتاب پس از درگذشت مؤلف منتشر شده، دكتر ابوالقاسم گرجى (از دوستان مؤلف و از دانش آموختگان حوزه نجف و استاد دانشكده حقوق تهران) آن را تنظيم و تكميل كرده است زيرا مؤلف قدرى از حوادث آخر عمر پيامبر را نياورده و نام كتاب را «تاريخ اسلام» گذشته بوده كه دوره‌اى از تاريخ اسلام را تدوين نمايد. مصحح كتاب با تغيير و اضافه مطالب جديد، ترجمه اشعار و متون عربى، توضيحى در پاورقى‌ها و... كتاب را ارائه كرده است.
