Ibn Farez is a strange character and because of this strangeness, he has a kinship with Hafez Shirazi. Only this divan of poems remained from him and not any works in prose; And because of his poems, he was nicknamed the Sultan of Lovers, and his "Taiyeh" and the commentaries written on it, have been a source of teaching and research for centuries, and of course, a source of joy and happiness.
In the 7th century, the name of Ibn Faraz is mentioned along with the names of great men such as Ibn Arabi and Sadr al-Din Qonavi. Along with Ibn Arabi's Fusus and Qonavi's Fakuk, his Tayyeh Kobrai poem has been one of the important sources used by seekers of knowledge.

ابن فارض، شخصیت غریبی است و از ره این غربت، قرابتی با حافظ شیرازی دارد. از او تنها همین دیوان قصاید مانده و نه هیج اثری به نثر؛ و او به واسطه ی قصاید خویش، سلطان العاشقین لقب گرفته و «تائیه»ی او و شروحی که بر آن نوشته اند، قرن ها منبع تدریس و تحقیق و البته مصدر وجد و حال و ذوق بوده است.
نام ابن فارض در سده ی هفتم در کنار نام بزرگانی چون ابن عربی و صدرالدین قونوی برده می شود. قصیده ی تائیه ی کبرای او در کنار فصوص» ابن عربی و فکوک» قونوی، از منابع مهم مورد استفاده ی جویندگان معرفت بوده است.
