What is history? what is it for? Is history a science? Are there fixed laws in history and events occur based on them? What do philosophers of history say about the science of history and the past? What is the connection between philosophy and history, and history and other sciences? These are some of the questions that Fayaz Zahid has addressed in this work. He tried to answer these questions by looking at the opinions and views of Muslim philosophers and philosophers of Western history. The approach of the thinkers of the Anal school, the Frankfurt School, postmodernism, feminism, as well as the representatives of Neo-Kantian and Hegelian, and Marxist commentators to the philosophy of history can be found in this work. This work is not an elucidator of a new philosophical theory, but it tries to reread and rethink the foundations of the philosophical approach to history. Rereading and criticizing the works of Yuval Noah Harari, a famous contemporary historian, is also one of the notable and readable parts of this work.
