Gahgah Castle was a prison during the time of Shah Ismail, where princes and high-ranking people who angered the king were imprisoned there. Ismail Mirza, the second son of Shah Tahmasab, was also imprisoned there. The story begins when Muradbek becomes the official of Qaghahe Castle, and he goes to the castle with his beautiful wife, Qamar Sultan, and his beautiful daughter, Gul Harem. Gol Harem is constantly wishing to marry the crown prince of Iran, but she does not pay the least attention to the imprisoned prince because she thinks that he will never reach the throne, she even rejects his proposal...

قلعه قهقهه زندانی در زمان شاه اسماعیل بود که شاهزادگان و افراد عالی مقامی که پادشاه را به خشم در می آوردند در آنجا زندانی می شدند. اسماعیل میرزا فرزند دوم شاه طهماسب نیز در آنجا زندانی بود. داستان از آنجا شروع می شود که مرادبیک مأمور قلعه قهقهه می شود و به همراه زن زیبایش، قمر سلطان، و دختر زیبا و ماه رویش، گل حرم، راهی قلعه می شوند. گل حرم مدام در آرزوی ازدواج با ولیعهد ایران است اما کمترین توجهی به شاهزاده زندانی نمی کند زیرا فکر می کندکه او هرگز به سلطنت نمی رسد، حتی به خواستگاری او نیز جواب رد می دهد…
