Drago Štambuk is one of the best Croatian and European poets. Also, a doctor and a diplomat who has been working as the Croatian ambassador to Iran since 2019. Raymond Carver says about him, "Drago Stambuk is a real poet. Andre Moshe describes him like this, "sturdy and original with a sharp look and rich intelligence, and Don Shaare describes his poems like this; "Drago's poems are among the most beautiful and memorable poems I have ever read."

دراگو اشتامبوک یکی از بهترین شعرای کرواسیایی و اروپایی است. همچنین یک پزشک و یک دیپلمات که از سال ۲۰۱۹ تا کنون در کسوت سفیر کرواسی در ایران مشغول به فعالیت بوده است. ریموند کارور در مورد او میگوید «دراگو اشتامبوک یک شاعر واقعی است. آندره موشه او را این گونه توصیف می کند، «استوار و اصیل با نگاهی تیزبین و هوش سرشار و دون شاره اشعار او را چنین توصیف می کند؛ اشعار دراگو در زمره زیباترین و به خاطر ماندنی ترین اشعاری هستند که تاکنون خوانده ام.»
