This article is a part of the work that Engels intended to write about "the role of violence in history", and unfortunately it was left unfinished. In the 1880s, the Social Democrats persuaded Engels to edit the valuable "Theory of Coercion" chapter of Anti-Düring's book for independent publication in German. He believed that republishing it alone is not enough to print it in German, but adding an appendix that is theoretically compatible with the latest historical stages is definitely necessary for that. Nowadays, the force consists of the army and navy, and as we all know, both of them are "very expensive" against our interests and at our expense, but force cannot make money, but at most it can be money. Take away what has been built and it is not very useful, and again, as we have seen with the French billions, this is also against our interests and does not have many results. Therefore, money must finally be obtained through economic production, and in this case, power is determined by the economic situation that provides the equipment and the acquisition of its working tools.
