"Religion and Rationality" is a work of "Reza Babaei" that provides readers with "inquiries in the field of religious studies and religious pathology". These articles and notes, the majority of which have already been published in scientific and virtual spaces, are writings with the theme of theology, which the author has written with the seasoning of religious intellectualism, about pathology and etiology. What is discussed in the first chapter of this book is the concept that until the traditional understanding of religion undergoes transformation, there is no possibility of internal religious reform, and as a result, cultural reforms in society will also face problems. In the second chapter, criticisms of the traditional reading of religion are presented and the fluidity of understanding religion is emphasized. The third chapter deals with the pathology and finding theoretical and practical inconsistencies in the life of religious people, and the fourth chapter tries to show the role of history in shaping some traditions and ways. It should be mentioned that in this section, one of the most important topics of the book, which is the topic of Ashura and its truth, has been discussed. The fifth and final chapter of the book refers to the capacities of religion in the field of mysticism and spirituality and presents teachings from mysticism, especially Rumi's mysticism in Masnavi Masnavi. "Reza Babaei" wrote the book "Religion and Rationality" in a simple and fluent language and as far as he could, he used non-specialist vocabulary tools and avoided philosophical and jurisprudential discussions.
