The collection of the founding fathers of modern Iran examines the intellectual and political life of Iranian intellectuals from the middle of the Nasrid era to the end of the first Pahlavi period. By introducing the principles and foundations of political modernity in Iran, these intellectuals actually laid the foundations of the new Iran, and this is the name of the title of the collection. The second volume of the mentioned collection is about the intellectual and political life of Mirza Fatah Ali Akhundzadeh. In addition to his leadership in modern literary criticism and theater art, he is famous not only in the Islamic world but especially in Iran because of his opinions about political modernity. Akhundzadeh is also typically the father of modern Iranism and has been a leader in its consolidation and love for the country.

مجموعه ی پدران بنیان گذار ایران جدید به بررسی حیات فکری و سیاسی منورالفکران ایرانی از میانه ی عصر ناصری تا پایان پهلوی اول می پردازد. این منورالفکران با معرفی اصول و مبانی تجدد سیاسی در ایران در واقع شالودههای ایران جدید را پی نهادند و وجه تسمیهی عنوان مجموعه هم همین است. دومین مجلد از مجموعه ی مذکور درباره ی حیات فکری و سیاسی میرزا فتحعلی آخوندزاده است. او افزون بر پیشتازی اش در نقد ادبی مدرن و هنر تئاتر در جهان اسلام نه تنها ،ایران خصوصاً به واسطه ی نظراتش درباره ی تجدد سیاسی نامور است. آخوندزاده همچنین نوعاً پدر ایران گرایی مدرن است و در تثبیت آن و عشق به میهن پیشتاز بوده است.
