The main purpose of this interview with Dawlat Abadi is for publishing the four volumes from his ten volumes of "Kalidar". But the interview is so usual that relate to the whole of the novel and also all the works he may write in future. The result of this interview is to look again to the relation between man and the world and literature in general and particularly about Dawlat Abadi and Iran's contemporary literature. This interview took place in Dawlat Abadi's house in 25 sessions and recorded in 32 tapes during more than one year.

انگيزه ي اصلي اين گفت و گو با محمود دولت آبادي، انتشار چهار جلد نخستين از رمان كليدر بود. اما زمينه هاي گفت و گو از چنان عاميتي برخوردار است كه نه تنها به تمامي رمان كليدر بلكه با آثاري كه دولت آبادي بعد از اين خواهد آفريد، نيز ارتباط پيدا مي كند. حاصل اين گفت و گو نگرشي دوباره است به ارتباط انسان و جهان و ادبيات در كل؛ و دولت آبادي و ادبيات معاصر ايران بخصوص. اين گفت و گو كه در منزل دولت آبادي صورت گرفته بود به بيش از 32 نوار و در 25 جلسه و مدتي بيش از يك سال به طول انجاميد.
