(The background and development of the revolution of Iran) Without sociological approach and data , historical studies are incomplete and partial. On the other hand, sociology in small-monded and imperfect without historical base. Since the history of Iran is associated with religion, and virtually, we witness the presence of religion and the clergyin every event, small or great, analyzing it requires the religious knowledge and experience, and also understanding the clerical establishment. Hence, introducing three factor of history-sociology, Islamic sciences and clericology- can help a great deal in studing the history of Iran. The subject of this book is recognition and analyzing the factors and the background of the revolution in a historical approach and with socioligical logic.

مطالعات تاريخي بدون بهره گيري از يافته ها و رهيافتهاي جامعه شناسي ابتر و ناقص است و متقابلا" جامعه شناسي نيز بدون تكيه گاه تاريخي سست، ناتمام و غير قابل تعميم خواهد بود. در خصوص تاريخ ايران از آن جا كه تاريخي عجين شده با مذهب است و در حادثه كوچك و بزرگي شاهد حضور كم و بيش مذهب و روحانيت هستيم، تحليل تاريخ ايران نيازمند آگاهي هاي لازم مذهبي و تجربه و شناختي از نهاد روحانيت نيز مي باشد. از اين رو استخدام سه مولفه تاريخ، جامعه شناسي و علوم اسلامي و روحانيت شناسي به تحقيق در تاريخ ايران (از جمله انقلاب اسلامي) ياري رسانده و گره گشا خواهد بود. موضوع اين كتاب شناخت و تحليل عوامل و زمينه هاي انقلاب است و اين كار با روش تاريخي و منطق جامعه شناسي انجام پذيرفته است.
