"عذرای خلوت نشین" داستان پسری بنام نوری است که با مادربزرگ اتریشی اش در ایران زندگی می کند. پدر نوری در تصادف اتومبیل از بین می رود. پس از چندی، مادرش به آمریکا می رود. نوری احساس تنهایی شدید می کند ولی سعی دارد این ناراحتی را با حرکات و حالات پسربچه های نوجوان پنهان نگه دارد. بحران عاطفی نوری مصادف با شروع انقلاب در ایران می شود و این تحولات در جامعه، خانواده نوری را نیز در برمی گیرد و مسیر زندگی او را تغییر می دهد.
