Celebrating Eid is one of the cultural characteristics of all societies, from the most ancient times to the present day. All nations, tribes, and tribes in all lands celebrate certain days of the year. Anthropologists don't know any society or group where people don't spend a day or days in joy and fun. This book deals with the ancient celebrations and rituals that have remained intact despite all the changes and social and political developments. The book has three parts: The first part includes celebrations and rituals that are held in all cities of Iran and among all social strata, from the earliest times to the present day. These celebrations are Nowruz, Yalda, and Mehrgan. In the second part, we talk about ancient celebrations that have been forgotten in many cities but have remained in one or two regions and provinces until today. such as the Sede festival in Kerman, and the Tirgan festival in Mazandaran. The third part is about rituals that cannot be called festivals, rituals that have been held by Zoroastrian, Armenian, and Shiite religious followers in the mountainous regions of Yazd, Mako, and Kashan since long ago.
