The education process with Greece, philosophers, and scientists of that land stepped to a new threshold. They established a giant building of knowledge that has always attracted the human mind for more than two millennia. In addition to education, the doctrines and methods of teaching, their concepts, and questions in philosophy, ethics, politics, and society are very controversial and surprising. On the other hand, the number of these sages in several city-states of that time, which is also unique, proves the incomparability of this phenomenon. Western European world thought could never emerge from its worn-out shell without the help of this radiant treasure of thought. In ancient Greece, two doctrines, attitudes, and methods dominated the world of education. They were not only the most important and well-known in their time, but also influenced the centuries after them, and even today, their traces can be clearly seen in education. Perhaps they can be seen as two schools, each with scientific personalities, who taught students in their own ways. This book is the first volume of a three-volume series that deals with European education thinkers, from the Age of Enlightenment to the present day.
