جمعیت بسیار بزرگی از کمونیست‌ها و سوسیالیست‌های سرتاسر جهان، پس‌از افشای متن «سخنرانی محرمانه‌»‌ی «نیکیتا خروشچف» در کنگره‌ی بیستم حزب کمونیست اتحاد شوروی، تا پای جنون پیش رفتند! عده‌ای حجم چیزی که بر آن نام افشاگری درباره‌ی جنایات استالین گذاشته شده بود، چنان برایشان بزرگ بود که دست به خودکشی زدند. هم‌زمان در اردوگاه غرب، جشن و هلهله برپا بود و از گوشه و کنار ستایش‌ها روانه شد و آرام‌آرام پاورقی‌نویس‌ها و روزنامه‌چی‌های جهان سرمایه دست به کار شدند و ارقام کشته‌های دوران استالین جوری بالا رفته بود که اگر قرار به حقیقت‌یابی بود، باید می‌پرسیدیم: «با این ده‌‌‌ها میلیون‌ نفری که استالین کشته، پس کی الان زنده‌ است؟!» ولی خب دروغ‌های بزرگ همواره خواهان دارند، به‌شرطی که همه‌‌چیز در اختیارمان باشد؛ بود و شد! اما واقعیت ماجرا این است که «خروشچف دروغ گفت» و حقیقت امروز پیش روی ماست؛ «گرور فر» در پژوهش سترگ و درخشانش با رجوع به هزاران سند و نامه و سخنرانی و خاطرات، ثابت می‌کند که «سخنرانی محرمانه‌ی خروشچف علیه استالین، سرتاسر و به‌طور مطلق دروغ بوده‌است! واقعیت ماجرا این است که قریب به هفت دهه پس‌از آن سخنرانی، اهمیتی ندارد که تلگراف لندن زمانی نوشته‌بود «تأثیرگذارترین سخنرانی قرن بیستم» و نیویورک تایمز هم 50 سال بعد نوشته بود «کار بزرگی که در سالگردش باید ازآن تجلیل شود»، مهم این است که مورخ بزرگ آمریکایی به تدقیق بیش از 61 مدعای جانشین استالین را رد و ردیه‌اش را اثبات کرده‌است. خواندن این کتاب، نه فقط دعوت به حقیقت بلکه دعوت به مقابله با دروغ و تاریخ دروغ است؛ اگر رسانه‌های جهان سرمایه دهه‌ها به شما گفته‌اند «تأثیرگذارترین سخنرانی قرن بیستم» را خروشچف ادا کرده، گرور فر با وجود همه‌ی حمله‌هایی که می‌دانست اتفاق خواهد افتاد، سمت حقیقت ایستاد و حمله‌ها را به جان خرید. نویسنده‌ای که در ابتدا فکر می‌کرد اگر 25 درصد پژوهش‌اش موفقیت‌آمیز باشد، رسالتش را انجام داده، درنهایت متوجه شد که 100 درصد سخنرانی خروشچف درباره‌ی ژوزف استالین و لاورنتی بریا دروغ بوده‌است! اینکه چرا باور کردن همه‌ی آن دروغ‌ها مشکلی نداشت ولی باور اینکه همه‌ی آن دروغ‌ها، دروغ بوده‌‎است، اینقدر سخت است، مسئله‌ای‌ست که باید از خودمان و تمام تاریخ‌نویسی غرب و رسانه‌های جهان سرمایه بپرسیم!
