Narratives of return are always unusual but palpable. Those who return after a departure, to a person, a people, a homeland, and a land, always bring with them a lot of conflicting feelings along with disappointment. Although the returns are not always the same and there are different possibilities depending on the type and reason of each return to the returner, nevertheless, it seems that all of them have a sadness in their depths that is evident even in the most happy situations. In the meantime, the returns of the idealistic people of lands with ancient histories, which bear the weight of many eternal myths and legends, are strangely similar and intertwined. From Greece to Syria, Iran, etc., these examples of returning and meeting again with all those things for which wars were fought and blood was shed and lives were lost and in the end, nothing was left but a pile of destruction, dirt, blood, and fire. "Shokri, son of Yaqoub" is another story of returning to the land and its people and watching the burnt homeland after the revolution and the war that does not show mercy to the people or to their history. Shukri, the son of Yaqoob, armed with his ideals, went to fight what he thought was the darkness, and now that he has returned, he sees the back and forth of the events that are present today with deep roots in the past. "Siamak Ithari", who in his second novel is inseparable from the south, heat, and war, this time more bitterly and bitingly addressed the fate of hopefuls who seem to be the other great losers in the history of this land.
