But this fantasy and dream is also an individual possession of a collective project and official propaganda related to it. Kabakov's works are created in the name of other and imaginary artists. Thus a hidden rule about the modern art system is revealed: only an artist who does not want to be an artist or does not even know that he is an artist is a true artist, just as only a work of art that does not look like a work of art is a true work of art.
