The author presents a large number of the objects recovered from the illicit excavations in the region of Jiruft. His purpose is to illustrate the magnificent artistic quality of the Southeast Iranian workmanship and the high level of the skill of its stone cutters especially in comparison with the similar objects found over the last century of archaelogical investigation at various sites in Mesopotamia.(with colored pictures and art paper)

نويسنده در اين مجموعه تعداد زيادي از اشياي بازيافتي جيرفت از انواع گوناگون را ارائه داشته، و در ضمن كوشيده است دستاوردهاي شكوهمندانه ي كارگاههاي سنگتراشي جنوب شرق ايران و سطح والاي مهارت هنرمندان سنگتراش آن را در مقايسه با ظروف مشابهي نشان دهد كه طي يكصد سال گذشته بر اثر فعاليتهاي باستان شناختي از محوطه هاي گوناگون در بين النهرين به دست آمده است.
