Tabari's history is one of the very old Persian prose. The stories of prophets in this book are described very fluent and imaginary. As many writers said, the literary value of this work is more than its historical value. Its simple and fluent narration makes the readers to review the stories.

تاريخ طبري، از قديمي ترين آثار نثر فارسي است. داستان زندگي پيامبران در اين كتاب، به زباني بسيار شيوا و خيال انگيز روايت شده است. به طوريكه ارزش ادبي اين اثر - به گفته ي بسياري از نويسندگان - از ارزش تاريخي آن بيشتر است. شيوه ي روايت و نثر زيباي طبري، به گونه اي است كه خواننده را به مرور مجدد داستان زندگي پيامبران از زبان وي ترغيب مي كند.
