This is a Farsi book, but has not got the permission to be published in Iran, and since the language is very close to Dari, it has been published and read in Afghanistan.
It is a narrator of the lower middle-class, who have strong religious beliefs, are easily handled, have low literacy level, and so on.
It the story of a deaf and dumb young boy who lives in a very poor family, whose mother has lost her first child, named Nargess, and keeps thinking of her. The boy is taken to the holy shrine to be healed, and gain the ability to speak again. A lot of things happen to him while at the shrine. He is deaf and he has no dialogue with anyone, but the story is narrated through his mind, and how he conceives the world.
